The home
of George and Mary Shearer. George was a photographer in South Dayton,
NY. Mary was the sister of Maude Belle Jeffrey. Late in life they
moved to Owosso, Michigan to live with their eldest daughter, Edna. Owosso
is where they both died. An interesting anecdote concerns the honeymoon of
Mary and George. According to family records, Mary's sister Maude made
such a fuss when Mary went to leave on her honeymoon trip that Mary and George
took Maude along. Another piece of family history is that George and Mary
gave Maude a wooden rolling pin as a wedding present when Maude and Will Brown
got married. Maude gave the rolling pin to her daughter Marion and Marion
gave it to her daughter Marsha. Marsha still uses it in 2002.

to squeeze the bulb". This last

The poor quality of the original photo is reflected in the blurriness of this
image.
